A Proper English Manor

So the English Cottage didn't last long before it was overtaken with the English Manor... This is by the same house designer "Dorian" and has been one of my favourites so far.... I fully customised the interior walls to match my own unique feel to accomplish a very traditional feel.

So lets take a look......

Times are forever changing......

So, for the re-decoration of Dizi Corner I used yet another new home designer, this time called "Dorian".  I fell in love with their creations the minute I saw them and just HAD to get a few of them.  This was my first purchase and I loved the ability to colour change the walls and the flow of the house was awesome. A very English Country Garden Feel that I reflected in the garden also with the fountain and Greenhouse.

So take a look:-

Spring Cleaning

My Spring Clean overhaul for Dizi Corner was to use a new home designer called "Scarlett Creations" and a building I bought without actually being able to walk around it. I added 2 interior walls and changed the entrance wall and added a window... I was extremely happy with the result and loved the full glass lounge area that overhung the water....One of my all time favourites for sure.

The garden changed very little as I wanted to keep the swimming pool, so I added a hot tub and pergola.

The changing of the seasons

Dizi Corner Christmas Home

&

January re-design......

Ok, so first of all the house I used for the Christmas holidays.....  This was from again one of my favourite house builders Barnesworth Anubis.... which I got on a promo offer at Collabor88... I also bought the snow pack whilst it was on discount... and made the corner really cosy... and very festive...

even found a cheap skating rink for the garden.... was perfect...

Then came the re-design on January 1st.... the snow melted and a new home was made.... this time though it was a home from Inverse (again which I picked up on promo) and this made the corner feel as if spring was coming.

 and now it's time for something new "smiles" !!!!!!

Forever changing

The FOREVER CHANGING Dizi Corner

So I thought I might grace you all with a quick catch up of some of my homes that I have had on my little corner plot that I rent is Second Life.  This is by no means the total of all the homes I have ever had, but it's nice selection.

I was lucky enough to find the 230 prim (31x31 sqm) plot 3 years ago and have been there ever since.  It's the ideal location..... it's on a corner of a Sim so that means I don't have neighbours on 2 sides of my plot and it's open water that can't be entered.  I also rent the plot to one side of the corner as I like to have a garden (this again is a 230 prim plot).

So lets start with the oldest and progress through the years with a selection of homes....

I actually built the first ever house, so it's not the greatest, and then slowly progressed into buying homes.   Most houses I have purchased are either very low priced or I got on promo offers.

I try to keep the prim count (LI) for each home to be 100 or under so that it allows me enough prim to decorate to a lived in feel.

This was and is my one and only Tiki house, I did make my own sand as the texture of my corner plot is grass and is unchangable.  It was a fun house to put together, especially with the mini garden and beach with a old raft and area to park the convertible.

I think it only lasted for about a month.
The Spanish Villa was and will always be one of my favourites.  It was bought as a gift for me ready for Xmas, when I do like to make the rental plot all snow and pine trees... These were taken just after the snow had thawed and I re-set the garden into a romantic feel.

This was all cherry blossom and weeping willows.

And finally for this issue 2 more of my favourites.....The stone and log cabin was just ideal  It fit easily onto the corner plot and allowed for a big open decking area, perfect for the hottub and patio furniture.

Then I really wanted to go to town for Halloween last year.  Have never really gone wild with the Halloween feel before but this New England style home to me made the perfect Autumn/Halloween home.

The pumpkins and the blowing leafs really made the plot feel as if Autumn had come to sl.... and being October, it obviously had.

Well I hope you enjoyed my little wander down memory lane with the houses that I have used and I hope it shows how differently you can make your home feel with the right house and exterior decorations.

It's all about ME!!!!!

So, I thought it might be a good idea to formally introduce myself.....

I am DiziChick..... I have been for some time.

This is me, well not the real me, but the me that others get to see in Second Life.  This is my avatar.

My avatar has changed very little over the years, her skin and shape have only changed once, her hair changes sometimes but mainly stays the same, her clothing however is changed EVERY day!!!!

~~~~<@>~~~~
DiziChick was first used as my online identity many many years ago, before invention of such things as Wi-Fi and was used as a screen name on the AOL internet access... This was my first interaction with other people from around the world mainly in text only chat rooms.
~~~~~<@>~~~~~

Then I discovered an online virtual world called "Utherverse" (was known as Red Light Social Centre or RLC) and this is where DiziChick became more creative.  I found that the online virtual worlds were much like the offline game I would play, such as The Sims, where I would spend hours building and creating houses and decorating them.   Utherverse was much the same and I soon began to build and create spaces. And even started to sell my creations and build bespoke homes for others within that virtual world, making actual money from my sales.

After 2 years in Utherverse I then discovered Second Life, it was recommended by a few friends I had made in Utherverse, and so I moved to Second Life and was totally in awe of the things that were possible in an online virtual world. I never thought I would be able to drive around racetracks, go sailing with actual wind (that by the way actually changes direction). It was just mind blowing!!

I have been in Second Life for almost 4 years and loved every minute of it

My Blog Spot is gonna be about the homes that I put together on a very tight prim budget of 230 per plot ( I am lucky enough to have 2 plots side by side as I do like to have a garden)

I hope you enjoy my creations.  xx
